Anthropic is evaluating the potential of its AI, Claude Code, to manage daily software maintenance tasks. In a trial period, Claude Code generated 388 pull requests, with 46% of them being accepted after human review. This experiment is a step towards determining whether AI can effectively handle routine software maintenance tasks.
