Prime Intellect has made Prime Agent, a research and development platform for artificial intelligence, available as an open-source project. The platform is built on two key components: a recursive language model that allows sub-agents to be called as functions within a persistent kernel, and a continual harness that enables the agent to modify its own capabilities during runtime. Initial results using the Opus 5 model show high performance on a benchmark test, surpassing the baseline set by human experts. This development could provide researchers and developers with a valuable tool for advancing AI capabilities.
